WHERE IT ALL STARTED

David was born in Johannesburg - South Africa to English parents. He started playing golf at the age of five. The highlights of his junior career, representing South Africa, were two consecutive victories of the Prentice Memorial Trophy which was won before him by players like Price, Els, and Gary Player!

PROFFESIONAL CAREER

David decided to turn Pro at the age of 17. He played for two years on the South African Tour. After winning the European Qualifying School in 1994 he spent the next 15 years playing on the European Tour where he already attended more than 350 events. Among his biggest career achievements are the Irish Open victory after beating Colin Mongomerie in a play off and a World Cup triumph where he celebrated, together with Nick Faldo, the first ever victory for England.

COMPLETE GOLF COACH

David Carter is a complete golf coach, a coach who understands the game of golf based on his extraordinary playing experience, he has deep knowledge of golf swing biomechanics, and knows how the humans brain works and how we learn. David has completed the Golfing Machine studies – studies of one of the most detailed methodologies of golf teaching. He also works closely with VISION54 and its founders who were behind the legendary Annika Sörenstam‘s amazing career and with Michael Hebron, legendary coach who worked with Ian Woosnam and Vijay Singh. Michael represents a learning approach to golf based on scientific research and deep knowledge of brain functions.

AT THE PRESENT TIME

David dedicates his time to sharing his vast experience with performing golfers and juniors. David has worked or is still working with following players. Martin Prihoda – three times the Czech Republic Champion in match play, Jan Ryba – a top amateur golfer who has turned Pro, Kristyna Pavlickova – an outstanding amateur golfer who has improved her HCP this season from 0.9 to +1.5, Emily Curry Bartonova, talented junior golfers Karolína Kohoutová, Hynek Groh or Alan Klenor and many more. David founded Association to support junior golf in the Czech Republic.
